Ninja Race 5K

Brunswick, GA

Each year, The Ninja Race will benefit a local Brunswick child who has been afflicted with a life changing illness. This years race will benefit Calvin Cox is a 9-year-old from Brunswick, GA. Until July of 2016, Calvin was a very athletic and active little boy who possesses a genuine love of sports and playing outdoors with his friends. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in July of 2016 at the age of 8.

Calvin will be undergoing IV chemotherapy treatment in Jacksonville, FL. for the next 3 years. His mom,  Kelly Cox states that Calvin misses being able to physically play and that gym and recess are the hardest times for him because the medications have diminished his strength and balance and losing his athleticism has been very hard on him.  Calvin is the youngest child of Jason and Kelly Cox.  He has two sisters, Nola and Shannon. Calvin’s family, his teachers, and his friends describe him as a respectful young boy with a wonderful personality who is well liked by everyone.  He is known to be smart, kind, giving, quick-witted, determined, and fearless.  It is our extreme honor to have the opportunity to assist Calvin and his family in any way we can, and to have Calvin as the recipient of the 2017 / 2018 Ninja Race to be held in Brunswick, GA on January 20, 2018.

Pre entered runners will receive a custom race t shirt and awards will be presented after the race.
